Chris Pratt Indiana JonesOver the past 3 years, Chris Pratt has become one of the world’s biggest movie stars.

From Parks in Recreation, to Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt has hastily become one of our favourite actors. Not only will he be back on the big screen this summer; in the highly anticipated ‘Jurassic World, but now there’s talk of him tackling the monumental role of everyone’s favourite archaeologist. Indiana Jones.

Last year, Disney reported that Indiana Jones would be taking a similar approach to that of James Bond, with various actors taking on the leading role. Originally, names like Bradley Cooper and Chris Hemsworth had been touted to be adopting the whip and fedora, but nothing has since been confirmed. However, today the Hollywood insider magazine Deadline claims that Pratt’s involvement in this incredible series is a “sure-fire bet”.

Chris Pratt

Our favourite Chris Pratt character, Andy Dwyer, now in meme form

Chris Pratt isn’t the only man in Hollywood who has to live up to the incredible Harrison Ford. In last months movie blog, we reported that Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul may also be stepping into Ford’s boots in a Star Wars prequel, as Han Solo.

With rumours circling around Pratt’s involvement in The Magnificent Seven, as well as a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel on the cards, we’re taking the claims with a pinch of salt.

Regardless of who cracks the whip, all we ask for is more Raiders, and less Crystal Skull!

aaron paul as han solo

“Aaron Paul is Han Solo” sounds amazing… if only it was more than a rumour!

In what we’re assuming is the last big movie rumour of 2014, the awesome Aaron Paul has been rumoured to be playing Han Solo in a Star Wars spin-off film in 2016.

The news made it’s rounds on MakingStarWars.com, reporting that Paul would be taking on the role of the scruffy Nerf-Herder in a standalone movie; set before A New Hope.

Already, Godzilla director Gareth Edwards has been linked to the project in what has been codenamed Luminac Industrial Goods.

Although this project sounds epic from top-to-bottom, we’re going to calm ourselves down and take the news with a pinch of salt.

Ah well, only two years to wait until a potentially fictional release date of 16/12/2016.

Halloween is upon us and the costumes are out! But what should you be this year?

At Dressdown, costumes aren’t our speciality, we’re more of a t-shirt kind of crowd. That’s the thing with Halloween, not everybody wants to go out dressed in a full Optimus Prime costume, some people like to take it a little easier and just rock up in something home made. If you’re out this weekend make sure you look out for these 6 types of people!

1. The Homemade Masterpiece

Have you seen these kind of guys on the internet? These are the people who blow your minds with a home made costume. Sure, it might take them a few days to put together, and it might be a little uncomfortable to walk around in, but these guys have shown that they’ve got commitment, and that they deserve the limelight at the party!

2. The Last Minute

The outfits that look half-arsed can usually be some of the best ones. We’ve all been there before: There’s a Halloween party in two days, and you’ve got nothing to wear! Fear not, why not pin some paint swatches to yourself and go as 50 Shades of Grey, or maybe you can make a protest sign and go as a fully-dressed nudist on strike! The possibilities are endless, and we can’t wait to see how bad some of the costumes are this weekend!

3. The Pet Dressers

For some people, Halloween isn’t just about their costume; it’s about their pets! Have you seen a dog as Yoda? Maybe a cat as a bumble bee? Well, October 31st is the time for mild animal discomfort, with pet people dressing up their furrier family members.

 5. The ‘At Least You Tried’

Not everyone gets homemade 100% right every time! Sometimes there’s more to making a good costume than a good idea! Sure, everyone will have a great laugh, we’re just sorry it didn’t turn out as well you’d hoped!

The rarest of all are those guys and gals who plan their costumes months in advanced. The people who put serious effort into their outfits! Do you have working mechanics in your costume? Did your make-up take 3+ hours to apply? Will it be all the worth it? Definitely!
